Palin’s Supporters Now Off Limits to Media
The more they hunker down, the closer they are to defeat. Now the press can’t interview Palin’s supporters.

“Free her from the chauvinistic chains you are binding her with,” states Brown, who’s sick of Palin babying.
Know a lot about how Sarah Palin thinks about the issues? Of course not, and the networks are fed up.
Fox News disappoints again
It isn’t as if I have a high opinion of Fox News to begin with, but when it comes to saving people’s lives you would think their producers could join the grown ups.
Flipping between different media coverage of the press conference on hurricane Gustav with Lousiana Gov. Piyush Jindal and Sec. of Homeland Security Chertoff, there was one outstanding difference between that of Fox, CNN and MSNBC. Fox was the only network not showing the sign language interpreter.
To the right above you can see CNN’s coverage. Below you can see the coverage of Fox News. The interpreter’s right arm could be seen moving, but that’s all. And that’s disgraceful.

Partisanship aside, Fox News has a responsibility to cover pertinent information to the American public, especially in an emergency. Why purposefully edit out the interpreter who could potentially help save lives? At the same time Gov. Jindal was urging those in his state to evacuate, Fox chose to center on the GOP governor, instead of focusing on BOTH people on stage communicating with the televised audience.
This is not nitpicking, it is another example of how Fox News just doesn’t get it, putting aesthetics ahead of vital information.
Even in an emergency, Fox News disappoints again.

MSNBC is finally giving Rachel Maddow her due. Give MTP to Matthews or Olbermann, it’s Maddow’s turn.
The Air America host has been moving up the ranks of MSNBC. Give her Countdown, and Olbermann MTP.
All the whining the McCain campaign has been doing about Obama’s media attention has just been debunked.
According to Fox News, to devote yourself to something greater than yourself is “very un-American.” Geesh.
“Congress passed a resolution today to rename the stretch of highway that runs by Ralph Wilson Stadium.”
Great article by Mark Binelli on how Joe moved into his element from ‘Scarborough Country’ to ‘Morning Joe.’
