That’s how much taxpayer money-debt Bush’s Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson wants to play with. In the largest bailout proposition in the known universe, Paulson wants to use all of that money with no strings attached. Here’s part of the proposal:
Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.
You’re kidding, right? He should be fired just for proposing it.
The Bush administration wants another blank check, without oversight, for $700 BILLION dollars, this time for the economy. Let’s refresh our memory on how well the last blank check for Bush worked out:
