Fox Compares Dem Ticket to Bin Laden
“Obama/Biden, Osama Bin Laden, Coincidence?” Seriously? Fox News, what a bunch of assholes.
“Obama/Biden, Osama Bin Laden, Coincidence?” Seriously? Fox News, what a bunch of assholes.
According to Fox News, to devote yourself to something greater than yourself is “very un-American.” Geesh.

Transforming news clips into dance remixes is all the rage. Certain videos, however, are particularly well suited.
Bill O’Reilly’s recently recovered meltdown video from Inside Edition, for example, is choice.
[STRONG LANGUAGE]
Bill O’Reilly meltdown dance remix
Funny enough, the original is just as good.
Bill O’Reilly freaks out on Inside Edition
Don’t forget the Colbert Report mockery
Oh yes, and what really happened
Not interest in O’Reilly? Fret not, we’ve got the polygamist dance remix too.
Olbermann’s holiday gift
Liberal MSNBC political commentator Keith Olbermann has a penchant for mocking Fox News blowhard Bill O’Reilly, in fact it has become a staple of his Countdown program. To our amusement Olberman often appears to revel in his voice imitation while throwing O’Reilly’s own words back in his face.
Sharing the same television time slot as Olbermann, O’Reilly’s behavior has earned him the title of Countdown’s “Worst Person in the World” more times than the Republican presidential candidates say “Ronald Reagan.”

Screen shot of Countdown with Keith Olbermann
We love it, though those who view O’Reilly as a truth-teller (God help you) tend to dislike the besmirching of their apostle.
Well on Friday, Nov. 30 2007, Olbermann gave us an early holiday gift by reading the lines of a Tom Tommorow cartoon in O’Reilly’s own voice. Here it is.
Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

While some might find the mockery a tad too burlesque, we find it hilarious.
In many ways the mockery of O’Reilly has served as a counterpoint to the serious commentary Olbermann provides on our government.
I offer for your approval three special commentaries by Keith Olbermann as a reminder of that there are still heroes in the world, sometimes as close as your television.
Keep up the good work Mr. Olbermann.

Danny Glover on Constitutional Rights
Fox News doesn’t seem to like pokes at El’Presidente’. According to Talk Left:
This is a big week for the Center for Constitutional Rights with the Supreme Court about to hear oral arguments in the Guantanamo case, Al Odah v. United States. To raise consciousness on the case, it tried to buy an ad on Fox News.
Rescue the Constitution
James Oliphant of The Swamp described the event as follows.
A liberal advocacy group says Fox News has refused to air its ad, which depicts a replica of the Constitution being put through a shredder.
In the ad, actor Danny Glover says, “The Bush administration is destroying the Constitution. They can be stopped. Rescue the Constitution.”
The ad was developed by the Center for Constitutional Rights and was intended to run as a case involving detainees at Guantanamo Bay reaches the Supreme Court Wednesday. The center represents several detainees in the case. It is scheduled to run on MSNBC and CNN.
According the website Media Matters for America, Fox News sent the center an email saying the channel couldn’t run the ad seemingly because the center couldn’t prove that the actual Constitution, the document from 1789, was being physically shredded by the Bush adminstration.
The email reads:
We cannot approve the spot with it being Danny Glover’s opinion that the Bush Administration is destroying the Constitution. If you have documentation that it is indeed being destroyed, we can look at that. Sorry about that,
In response, the center’s executive director, Vincent Warren, said in a statement: “Fox’s literal interpretation of the ad is utterly ridiculous. To believe we are insinuating that President Bush has destroyed one of our most treasured historical documents is foolish and emblematic of the political bias of Murdoch’s media empire. Surely there are other advertisements that Fox airs that use metaphors to express their message—political or not.”
Sign the letter to send President Bush a copy of the Constitution for as a Christmas gift.

WTF?
Is A.L.F. a secret Fox News commentator?
Is it real? Is it not? Who knows, but it’s funny as hell. I’ll let ya know so you don’t have to watch the show.
Till then let the tension mount. Here’s a vid to wet your whistle.
ALF speed painting
Get more ALF here.
And here it is.
ALF on O’Reilly
Who knows why the hell he did it, but of course O’Reilly asked the pertinent questions.
O’Reilly: “When we last left you in 1990 you were arrested by the U.S. military. Remember that ALF? Were you torturued? Were you tortured by the military?”
No one can take the fun out of fuzzy aliens like Bill O’Reilly.
“You know we may bring ALF back from time to time to comment on world events; He’s a lot smarter than many pundits.”

“Oh the internet; What they’re going to do with this one.”
Those courageous souls who choose to delve into the Pandora’s box that is Fox News could of seen this one coming. Fox News Porn, a new website and video, have been released highlighting the hypocritical penchant of Fox News to broadcast risqué and sultry images while proclaiming an air of high-minded morality.
Can the obvious even be called news? Perhaps not, but faux-political videos are the recent rage as they are quite entertaining and add to the multifaceted layers of political theater.
of Boing Boing described Fox News Porn as follows:
The site is the creation of filmmaker Robert Greenwald, whose documentary Outfoxed is a masterful takedown of the Murdoch empire. Fox News Porn created a brief but spectacular net-storm when an overzealous moderator for Digg took the site off the Digg front page and threatened to suspend Greenwald’s account for violating Digg’s Terms of Service.
Kevin Rose the founder of Digg wrote the following the next day:
Digg: foxnewsporn.com Unbanned
Hey everyone, we temporarily banned this last night. We flagged it as a potential TOS violation, but after looking into it further we promptly unbanned it. Our fault. Digg on. -Kevin
Kevin Rose: Best Person in the World
This is not the first time Fox News has been targeted for broadcasting unnecessary, lascivious images during the news. In 2005 a News Hounds article entitled ‘Sex & Porn, the Fox News Way‘ documented the innumerous dates and times “[Neil] Cavuto worked sex into his “business” show.”
Now, near the end of 2007 comes more evidence of Fox News smut in the form of a faux-porn video.
Here is how Cliff Schecter of Brave New Films describes the video. From The Smirking Chimp:
This week I come bearing more gifts than than a coal/oil/auto/baby seal poacher lobbyist meeting with Mitch McConnell. It’s more of your favorite Fox fun! Yes, we at Brave New Films, after our Fox Attacks Decency video went over so well, used the remaining, 457,927 hours of smutty Fox coverage to embark on a more sober project.
It’s called Fox News Porn!, and the video is hot (well, not as hot as Rush-Limbaugh-with-a-cornucopia-of-little-red-pills-in-the-red-light-district-of-Bangkok hot, but of ample degree). In fact, it is so risque, apparently, that Digg flagged it as porn (or could it be that they are in takeover talks with News Corp.?), YouTube makes you promise to be 18 and spam filters in emails across the land are working harder than Pat Robertson to justify his lusty-lipped love-in with Rudy Giuliani.
So let’s go to the videotape! And as a side note, we promise no “wide stances,” prostitutes with the same name as your wife or acohohol-blamed, Congressional Page binges. Fair is fair, and the GOP has already staked their claim to this territory. We do, however, give you the video that over 167,000 peole watched in one day: Fox News Porn!
Cliff Schecter
Brave New Films
As the man says, “let’s go to the videotape!” Here it is, folks.
Fox News Porn
Robert Greenwald the director of Outfoxed–a 2004 documentary critical of the Fox News channel–appeared on Countdown with Keith Olbermann to discuss the video.
Robert Greenwald on Countdown
Greenwald also wrote about the purpose of Brave New Films’ Fox News Porn on AlterNet:
Brave New Films’ recent release of a video and related website (viewable in the box on the right of this screen) exposing Fox News’ smut peddling was originally considered too hot to be linked to on the popular news aggregator Digg and Google-owned YouTube. Brave New Films’ Jesse Haff explains that his company has created a new site, FoxNewsPorn.com, which contains images and videos broadcast only from Fox News, “in the hopes people will ask advertisers to stop showing their ads on Fox” for its nearly pornographic content. Haff continues:
Once the site launched, I submitted it to various social bookmarking sites, including Digg. The submission quickly appeared on the Digg’s homepage, only to be deleted and our account banned. I emailed Digg, thinking the submission was mistaken for a real porn site, only to be told the site is “adult content,” and is against their terms of service, “even though it was broadcast on Fox.” See the details with images here.
So Digg bans what Fox News broadcasts. It’s hard to believe that’s all there is to it, considering there are often sites with content that could be considered “adult” on Digg. As I write this, the submission “The Top 20 ‘Side Boobs’ of All-Time (Kinda Not Safe for Work),” a completely gratuitous website with adult content, is No. 4 on Digg.
Hmm, this couldn’t have anything to do with Digg partnering with the Wall Street Journal and looking to be acquired by Rupert Murdoch, could it?
Even those who aggressively support the Fox News channel are opposed to its hypocritical ways. Conservative radio clod Laura Ingraham ranted about the Fox’s behavior on the O’Reilly Factor.
Laura Ingraham & Bill O’Reilly
The insanity of two dolts arguing about fake news channel smut is ridiculous enough, but round it out with a reminder of just who Laura Ingraham is…
A moment of zen
…and you realize just how bad it must be if she is actually making sense.
So is Fox News really as hypocritical as most everyone thinks it is? That’s your call. Here are a few Fox excerpts to help you decide.
“We all know sex sells”
“I’m still waiting for you to call me. Why haven’t you called me yet?”
Serial killer updates and bouncing spring break bodies round out the news
The legs of Fox News
Sometimes even the anchors get confused
“You’d think I would of wanted to ride it”
Fox News pride
Very little indeed.
In an email announcement of Fox News Porn, Brave New Films founder Robert Greenwald explained the purpose of the video and website and how you can get involved:
“Can you quote us so not giving a shit?”
That was Fox’s classy response to the half million viewers who saw our Fox Attacks: Decency video.
Looks like we got to Fox this time, and it wasn’t a debate about policy in Iran that did it, or a video displaying their racism, or even our coverage of their abject hypocrisy on environmental issues.
No, what got the attack dogs at Fox hungry and looking for flesh was none other than an exposé of their smut peddling! It makes sense in a way, because advertisers tend not to like their products being promoted between segments of soft porn. And a large part of their conservative base hates this as well, which might be why one Christian organization compared the way women were dressed on Fox to the manner in which “hookers” are attired.
So what did we do?
With the Fox News Hounds’ help, we found enough Fox lasciviousness for a whole porn site!!
Really, we did. And it wasn’t that hard to do. In fact, if you thought Fox Attacks: Decency was a glimpse into the lustful thoughts of your favorite Fox anchor, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Satire and parody aside, we think this is extremely objectionable, misogynistic content. We still don’t understand how Fox is allowed to call this “news.” So let’s make this campaign count and hit Fox where it hurts — their fair and balanced sheet.
Many of you have been helping to create a massive database of local Fox advertisers. Now it’s time to start calling them. Pick one or two to call, and ask them to please not advertise on a channel that shows Girls Gone Wild during prime time, and exploits women 24/7. Let them know in very personal terms why this matters to you.
And please let us know how it goes! When you click on the “call” or “email” advertiser link, you’ll get an example script and a form where you can describe what happened. Fill it out so we can all share information on how advertisers are reacting to the campaign. Plus, others will be inspired to act, and we can keep the pressure on these merchants of immorality. Be creative, make it personal and express how you feel.

President George W Bush on March 9 signs document to renew the Patriot Act
Civil liberties in war time
- Fox News’ Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano makes an argument against the Patriot Act. Good for him.
A Nation of Sheep: I’m guessing this was shown at 4AM
Gentle reminder: VA Joe’s summary of the Patriot Act (edited):
The Patriot Act expanded the authority of U.S. law enforcement agencies in order to help them combat terrorism. Following are some of the provisions of the act:
- Increased ability of law enforcement agencies to search telephone and e-mail communications
- Increased ability of law enforcement agencies to search medical, financial and other records
- Eased restrictions on foreign intelligence gathering within the United States
- Expanded the Secretary of the Treasury’s authority to regulate financial transactions, particularly those involving foreign individuals and entities
- Enhanced the discretion of law enforcement and immigration authorities in detaining and deporting immigrants suspected of terrorism-related acts
- Expanded the definition of terrorism to include “domestic terrorism.” This new definition increased the number of activities to which the Patriot Act applies.
Argument of Support
The United States needs the Patriot Act to ensure its safety against terrorism. The Patriot Act does not unjustly impinge on civil liberties or violate the Constitution. To the contrary, without it our rights and liberties would be at greater risk. The Patriot Act is a necessary safeguard for America that addresses the realities of a post Sept. 11 world.
Argument Against
The Patriot Act goes too far in attempting to protect America, violating the Constitution and civil liberties. In particular, it goes too far by allowing indefinite detentions of immigrants; searches of homes and businesses without permission or knowledge of those being searched; expanded powers of the FBI to search telephone, email, and financial records without a court order; and the expanded access of law enforcement agencies to government records. Federal courts have ruled at least one provision of the act as unconstitutional.
A staunch libertarian, Napolitano is a supporter of Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul. Paul’s “Champion of the Constitution” message is appealing, especially after the constitutional breaches of the Bush administration, but his stance on social issues is troubling. He is against the death penalty though, so at least he’s making progress.
Andrew Napolitano at Future of Freedom Conference
Napolitano isn’t the only conservative voice against the patriot act. Read what others have to say here and here.

Motto in ‘Historical Review of Pennsylvania’, attributed to Ben Franklin
Help end the Patriot Act. Vote Democratic.

O’Reilly blinded by black civility
“There wasn’t one person in Sylvia’s who was screaming, ‘M-Fer, I want more iced tea.”
On his September 19, 2007 radio program, conservative Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly reported that he and Al Sharpton recently broke bread together at Sylvia’s Restaurant in Harlem.
I think black Americans are starting to think more and more for themselves. They’re getting away from the Sharptons and the Jacksons and the people trying to lead them into a race-based culture…
…And we went to Sylvia’s, a very famous restaurant in Harlem. I had a great time, and all the people up there are tremendously respectful. They all watch The Factor. You know, when Sharpton and I walked in, it was like a big commotion and everything, but everybody was very nice. And I couldn’t get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia’s restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it’s run by blacks, primarily black patronship.
On top of the absurd notion that “They all watch The Factor“, O’Reilly spoke with Juan Williams later on in the show, spouting, “There wasn’t one person in Sylvia’s who was screaming, ‘M-Fer, I want more iced tea.’ ”
Air America’s take on Sylvia’s and other O’Reilly comments
O’Reilly has defended his remarks by suggesting he was trying to make an anti-racist comment, teaching his listeners that black people are just like other people. The fact that he felt like he had to explain that in the first place is dumbfounding and pitiful, and the way he tried to explain it was tainted with old fashioned racist innuendos.
Mr. O’Reilly needs to experience the world a bit more, and it appears he needs some help:
