Now if only W.H. Press Secretaries would do this: Instead of talking, just shut up instead of lie.

Democrats are about to nominate the weaker candidate because they’re afraid of upsetting half the party. Puke.
Hagee connection spurs petition for Lieberman to withdraw from keynote at Hagee’s Israel Summit.
Webb is the perfect politico for Democrats. I don’t care where he goes, as long as he can make things happen.
Great Scott! Et tu, McClellan?
McClellan’s new book has done something wonderful for political punditry in combining all the politico big wigs in one tell-all story.
But unless you find the “ex-White-House-insider-reveals-Bush-administration-deceived-public” story fascinating, you might as well turn off CNN and MSNBC till Saturday’s Democratic Party Rules Committee meeting; cause until then, the discussion will be solely on McCellan, his book, and the deceitful White House.
The Sunday talk shows are going to be intense.
The negative-story-deflection from the GOP pundits has begun in full force. You can’t watch a Republican on television for more than a minute without hearing “This isn’t the Scott McClellan I knew,” and the how the opinions express in the tell-all book are “puzzling.”
On MSNBC’s Hardball this evening host Chris Matthews noted how attackers of McClellan are all using White House talking points, noting the “amazing syncronicity of reaction that sounds regimental.” Matthew’s guest, former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, also used the term, “puzzling.”
And oh, by the way, if you didn’t already know, McClellan penned that President Bush leads an unreflective life and believes his own bullshit, Rove and Libby are conspirators, the administration used propaganda and not the truth to sell the Iraq war, the White House Press Corps are pushovers, and McClellan himself was lied to repeatedly by Karl Rove and others and then passed those lies to America and the world as truth.
What is most puzzling is how any of this is really news. If you didn’t know any of this already: Welcome to America! Please review the last eight years of history before deciding if you wish to remain in the country.
But the most childish response to the whole affair was that of libertarian web monger Matt Drudge, who’s Drudge Report is a daily stop for many able to cope with obnoxious titles to political headlines.
Here’s how he summed up McClellan’s publishing of the truth:

That’s right, Matt Drudge calls former Press Secretary Scott McCellan a “snitch” because he told the truth about how our executive branch functions. Curse him!
A curious term, snitch: What criminals call others who expose crimes, and what children call their peers who tell the truth to parents. The inner Drudge is revealed in this headline as a whiny, immature man (with a large following). So beware internet readers, like the urban playgrounds of yore, the world wide web also has dark corners with children wielding heavy clubs.
Societal progress remains on hold while Republicans still roam the hillsides. Though it’s almost safe to come back from Canada all you American expatriates! January 20, 2009 is closer then you think.

The ex-congressman wants an African-American-only news network. Don’t be fooled: This dude is a GOP hack.
If you’ve ever tried to put your cat in a box, then you know what Hillary Clinton is doing right now: Rarrrw!
It’s a compliment; I admire her tenancity. -Tucker Carlson on MSNBC’s Morning Joe
CNN in the tank for Obama?
Sometimes the transparency is too much to bear.
On CNN’s politics page yesterday was a large headline reading, “Clinton Supporters Boo Obama at Rally“, leading to this article. Now, if you’ve seen any Obama rally, you’ll hear boo after boo when Clinton’s name is uttered. Sometimes Obama even has to hush the crowd.
But when Obama gets booed at a Clinton rally, it makes the politics front page of CNN.
That, is a double standard, and that is why former President Clinton has a point when he says the media has been unfair to his wife, and that is why this post uses so many italics.
“So McCain apparently received major tax deductions for supporting elite schools attended by his children.”
Justice Clinton? Sadly, Hillary’s age is undoubtedly a prime factor for her continued presence in the ‘08 race.
