GOP Rumor: Michelle Obama “Whitey” Video Lurks

Republicans play the race card

Rumors of a mystery tape showing Michelle Obama “Ranting And Raving Against Whitey” in Trinty United Church of Christ are circulating across conservative blogs. Bryan McAffee at RightPundits.com writes:

Well, I debated whether to even post this or not. I’m not usually into rumor or innuendo, but what the hell, lets have some fun. Larry Johnson over at No Quarter has apparently learned (he has 4 sources on this) that a video tape exists of Michelle Obama railing against whitey at Rev. Wright’s church. You can read the story here.

Of course, if true, the implications are going to be very far reaching and we will either see SDs start to go for Hillary in droves, or McCain wins in a 50 state landslide. I don’t know if this will turn out to be a legitimate tape or not, but there is a lesson in here for both parties to learn. The reason why people who have only served for 2 years as a Senator don’t run for POTUS is not about experience per se, its about vetting… The fact is, Obama has not been vetted. We do not know everything that he has been through.

As to why the tape has not yet surfaced, rumor is the GOP is holding it for a fall surprise. I’m sure Hillary wishes she found that tape first (if it exists).

Here is an excerpt from the story he refers to:

I now have it from two three four sources (three who are close to senior Republicans) that there is video dynamite–Michelle Obama railing against “whitey” at Jeremiah Wright’s church. Republicans may have a lousy record when it comes to the economy and the management of the war in Iraq, but they are hell on wheels when it comes to opposition research. Someone took the chance and started reviewing the recordings from services at Jeremiah Wright’s United Church of Christ. Holy smoke!! I am told there is a clip that is being held for the fall to drop at the appropriate time.

Now rumors circulate on the internet all the time, but some larger websites are picking up the story as well. Townhall.com, filled with some of the more ignorant opinions on the web has a link to the rumor page as well. And while their authors’ views are despicable, Town Hall writers are often the conservative voice of television punditry.

But more than that, if true, it could fuel further G.O.P. propaganda on the internet.

Videos such as the following aren’t helping:

Obama campaign rally, Madison, Wisconsin

Fox News jumped all over it, as well as Tennessee GOP.

Most likely the “Whitey” video is just an internet rumor. However, one thing is certain: Republicans have already begun playing the race card.

Is it really playing the race card, if a Presidential candidate chooses to surround himself intimately with those who spread racial hatred? As a Democrat, would you feel queasy and dirty, if you learned that McCain attended a church spreading racial hatred against minorities and if his wife gave the same kind of speeches to that congregation, and used this to criticize a candidate. Wouldn’t you strongly question what kind of world view McCain was mixed up in? If McCain then distanced himself from such a pastor declaring that for twenty years he was blind to the kind of hatred his pastor was spreading, would you question his honesty? Would you find it damning when that same mentor declared that McCain was only saying what he had to say as a politician to get elected. If that last point is dismissed as the crazy ravings of a crazy pastor, just remember that the candidate made that crazy man his mentor for 20 years. If a candidate promotes racism (Obama contributed $40,000 to Wright’s church), should that not concern every American? I would find it reasonable for any minority to be upset if a candidate were intimately tied to David Duke, and I would hope, and expect, most whites to feel the same way. Let us not be more tolerable of the reverse.

  2. tortuca on May 19th, 2008 at 5:29 pm

    John W.:

The difference here is that the Republicans are spreading rumors of the senator’s wife using a racial epithet as part of their efforts to demagog the Democratic candidate. Senator McCain has his own pastor problems, as you can discover from any search engine, and Democrats have brushed it under the rug.

If there is evidence, show it. If not, shut up and discuss the issues.

  3. John W. on May 19th, 2008 at 6:13 pm

As far as I can tell it was a Democrat, Larry Johnson, who broke the story to the web using Republican sources. Of course the racial epitaph purported to have been used was by the Senator’s wife, not the Republicans. As for McCain’s “pastor problems,” let’s not confuse a 20 year plus mentor relationship with a supporter that McCain barely knows. I don’t think anyone can plausibly argue that John Hagee’s extremist religious world view are any part of McCain’s world view. McCain’s only connection has been to ask for political support. Obama, on the other hand, has had a mentorship that has lasted over 20 years. Obama declared that Jeremiah Wright was not controversial in his views. Obama further declared that he believed in “black liberation theology,” which among many other things suggests that there are racial distinctions in brain activities and argues against racial assimilation. Clearly this is suggestive that Obama holds a world view that is much closer to Jeremiah Wright than he cares to admit.

As to the main subject of this topic, Michelle Obama’s purported comments, time will settle the actual existence of such video. Knowing her previous comments along the campaign trail, I would not be surprised if such is true. As for the senator’s contention that his wife is out of bounds, I recall hearing no such restrictions when Hillary Clinton’s spouse became the target of criticism in this campaign.

John, noone is questioning how mean they are to Bill because you can be mean to a boy. But, you are not to be mean to the girl.

  5. RuthieM on May 20th, 2008 at 4:34 pm

This is an absolutely LIE, nothing but outright BULLxxxT. Her husband’s mom was white, meaning her mother-in-law, and the childrens grandparents and ancestry are white. And where is this so-called tape? Is the GOP making sure they have manufactured it well enough, is that why it is NOWHERE? Michelle Obama wouldn’t do anything like this. Just like Bill Clinton in meetings with the republicans creating and pushing cross-over voting to vote for Hillary, if there is anything of the such out there, it is being manufactured by the Clintons and the Republicans, and that is why Hillary is manical about staying in the race, until they finish their ‘creations’ against the Obamas. When is Obama going to expose Cindy McCain’s reported drug use and drug abuse and drug thefts?

  6. Dan on May 20th, 2008 at 6:01 pm

You nailed it, John. All of this whining from the Democrats just shows what total pu$$ies they are and why they can’t be allowed to have responsibility for our national security.

Anyone with any intelligence at all knows damn well that if videotape existed of John McCain’s preacher of 20 years bellowing out the same kind of paranoid, racist screeds as Jerimiah Wright ….. and of the congregation of John McCain’s church jumping up and down in agreement, roaring its approval …. Howard Dean and the Democratic National Committee wouldn’t hesitate for a second to use it, nor should they. While Barack Obama shouldn’t be held directly responsible for the statements of his pastor, at the same time it is a perfectly legitimate question to ask why, at some point, he didn’t move to another church.

To me and to millions of others, the fact that not only did he not move to another church, but that he had this raving loon perform his marriage, that he takes his two small children into this church to be indoctrinated into this hate-filled ideology, and that he gave this church $40,000 tells me that deep down inside, Barack Obama buys into what Rev. Wright is selling.

As for Michelle Obama and the rumored “whitey” tape …

    a) After having read what an abrasive b**ch she is, I can certainly see her making those kinds of statements
    b) If the tape actually exists, the November election is over. McCain will win in a landslide.

  7. Hubert on May 20th, 2008 at 6:17 pm

Why would you post a report about a rumored video that may or may not have happened, without proof. You are no different that those who make unfounded claimes about this man’s religious affiliation, or his supposed connection to terrorists, or his support for hamas. none of these accusations are able to be proven, but you still post them as if there was some validity to the story. why because you heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend, who heard it from the mother of a friend who works with the 3rd cousin of someone. don’t you understand the first rule of journalism, if you can’t independantly verify the story it isn’t a story but a rumor, and you don’t print rumors. This is no different from the rumor that Sen McCain was having an affair last fall. No proof, no evidence, but it was reported anyway. There is a right to free speach but with that right comes a responsibility to truth.

  8. Borneo on May 20th, 2008 at 6:28 pm

These rumors probably originated in the Hillary camp to try to scare superdelegates into throwing their support behind Hillary. It’s all a lot of nothing. Especially coming from No Quarter.

Racism is a complex issue. If you watch Louis Theroux’s (BBC reporter) documentry on Tom Metzger, a top Aryan Nation leader you will see that he has contrdictory friendships with non-whites, yet his racism is still real. Also, let’s not forget Hitler’s own ancestory. If you read Obama’s book, Dreams From My Father, you will see that he specifically stopped talking about his white ancestory, suggesting that it was somthing that made him feel uncomfortable. Thus, it is entirely concievable that Michelle Obama could have a white mother-in-law and still be bigoted.

As for “un-founded rumors” of Obama’s ties to terrorists. Is there any doubt that Obama’s campaign manager described Obama’s relations with Bill Ayers as “friendly.” Is there any doubt that they worked together on a foundation or that Obama held a campaign event in the home of Bill Ayers and his wife. Is there any doubt that Bill Ayers and his wife were members of the weather underground? Bill Ayers explicitly wrote about his activities bombing the Pentagon, Capitol and other government buildings. He told the New York Times on September 11, 2001 that he did not regret setting those bombs, and that he only wished he could have done more. It seems to me what is called an “unfounded rumors” in regard to Obama’s terrorists connections are established fact.

  11. JerryR on May 20th, 2008 at 11:00 pm

We are in a sad state of affairs when the leading candidates in the Republican and Democratic camps are all that this country can offer up for the most powerful position in the world (If you believe that little fantasy).

McCain is probably the most honorable in the bunch, based on his service to our country, but he would be the oldest president elected in history for a job that’s a friggin’ marathon; and I don’t think he’s hitting on all cylinders.

Obama’s 20 year association with that demonstrated radical racist Wright as his “mentor” ( a minor oversight), his wife’s uncontrollable mouth (having nothing to do with the mysterious existence of a mystery tape), and his track record (elected to Senate, runs for president), doesn’t impress me as showing the judgement as the first choice for the go to guy to keep the terrorists in their holes.

And then there’re the Clintons. There’s a crew for you. 9/11 happened as a direct result of Bill’s ineptitude for 8 years. (Golf doesn’t count) Neither one of them have any semblance of a moral compass. Hillary will lie when the truth would make a better story, it’s a reflex. Whatever the polls say she needs to be is what she projects at the moment. Accessing the power is what it’s all about. She’s about as Un-American as it gets. (Well maybe Obama’s a close second) You can tell when Hillary is lying because her lips are moving. Hillary for president? Get real.

These people are all we can propose for a reasonably important job? Never underestimate the stupidity of the American electorate. To quote the late Robert Heinlein, “A committee is a lifeform with a thousand bellies, and no brain.”

We got trouble, right here in River City.

my guess is that this is a “hail Mary” false flag team effort in support of HRC btw Sidney Blumenthal

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.....99695.html

…and new HRC supporter NewsMax media mogul Richard Mellon Scaife,

    http://www.odwyerpr.com/blog/i.....-nuts.html

This only hurts two people to release this now: Obama and McCain. It does not hurt HRC. How ’bout that?

Here’s how it hurts McCain: by the time Nov rolls around the economy will be too in the toilet for the public to be in the mood for more Rovian nonsense like this. This will backfire big time on the Republicans. They are already set to lose loads of seats. Releasing this video will cost them a few more.

  13. Joe S. on May 21st, 2008 at 10:01 am

Well, the Republican Party has long been home to racists and those who tolerate racists and race baiters, so this ploy shouldn’t be surprising. I suppose a rumor is much better than reality, since you can’t refute it and it can be embellished as much as you like without consequence. Just like all the Clinton “scandals” that never amounted to more than a stain on a blue dress (bear in mind that the Republican attack machine had it down for a lot more than that…murder, for instance). This is a flavor of things to come in the fall. I just hope that the American public rejects this sort of baseless attack.

  14. Christina on May 22nd, 2008 at 2:38 am

Personally, I could care less if the tape exists or not. What I’m getting irritated with are the Obama supporters. The fingers point to Clinton over and over again. That p**ses me off! Rather than get angry at the Republicans, they’re getting angry at the Clintons! They could care less that Bill won the Oval Office in 1992 - taking it back from 12 years of Republican ruule - and then he kept it for EIGHT years, leaving an economy in surplus! BUT NO!!! They can’t see past Obama far enought to even see what good the Clintons have done for the Democratic party. Cigar or no cigar, the Clintons gave life to a FAILING Democratic party in 1992! Let’s please give them some credit here!

This kind of crap from the Obama supporters makes me want to take a hard look at McCain in November. He’s starting to look better and better!

In fact, maybe I’ll encourage Clinton supporters to consider a “write in” in November. Forget Obama! let’s stick with our candidate until the bitter end!

  15. Patrick on May 22nd, 2008 at 6:48 pm

Obama is a candidate who has been propped up by the media who will lose in the General Election. I personally believe the corporate media doesn’t want Obama to be president.

There is sooo much that can (and will) be used against this guy in the fall election campaign that all those people who support Obama is going to be sadly dissapointed when the Republican’s have the White House for another 4 years.

I can just see the commercial now showing video of the president getting on Air Force 1 with his man carrying the “football” (nuclear weapon codes) and then the commercial cutting to Obama admitting during the campaign to “pressing the wrong button” a number of times during votes in the IL. Senate. Then a voice will close the commercial by saying: “is this really the best man for the job”

    Obama supporters - Wise Up… He’s a set-up.

  16. Mark on May 22nd, 2008 at 7:21 pm

Stick a fork in Obama, he’s done.

I predict Obama will be within 10 percentage points of McCain in the popular vote in November, however McCain will win in an electoral college landslide roughly akin to Bush Sr.’s win over Dukakis in ‘88 (and I am not a McCain supporter, either, just reading the tea leaves).

  17. chris on May 23rd, 2008 at 11:59 pm

The “whitey” tape IS real. The McCain campaign already has a copy. They are thinking about an anon release via youtube. Expect it to come out sooner, rather than later. Obama’s whining about people attacking his wife was not about the “not proud” commercial, but about this tape instead. Obama’s narrative is that his total lack of experience is mitigated by his sound judgment. The republican rejoinder will be your friends(ayers), your political benefactor(rezko), your pastor(wright), and your wife(michelle) are:

    a)corrupt
    b)extreme
    c)racist
    d)all of the above

what kind of judgment do you have, big O, if you think nobody was going to notice this?

Finally a candidate that can bring the nation together and earn a well deserved flaming defeat. (The kicker is I’m a lifelong Democrat, and I can’t wait to see Mr. O get crushed)

  18. XperiencedSkeptic on May 24th, 2008 at 1:04 am

Come on. This is almost laughable. I keep reading that Obama canot beat McCain, so the Republicans want him to win. Well, then why would they need this video? Also, i have mnore faith in the median intelligence quota of the average American voter. No one wants 4 to 8 more years of lateral moves in the ways of the most hated, disliked, under-appreciated President in American history, GW Bush. Further more, not everything you hear out there is true, particularly in the internet. Whatever happened to the coke-snorting picture that never surfaced in the 2 Bush elections?

  19. chris on May 24th, 2008 at 3:05 am

Not saying the video is necessary, but it DOES exist. Do you really think that the republicans aren’t going to use it? A standard republican would have no chance this cycle, but McCain is not a standard republican. Actually it’s intelligence quotient. I think Hillary would crush in the fall, and I think Obama will lose. But I KNOW this tape exists.

  20. Mitch on June 1st, 2008 at 7:03 pm

If — if - this tape exists and Republicans are sitting on it, then it’s clear that they would prefer to face BHO than HRC. It will crush BHO. Apparently, they’d prefer to do that in the general rather than now and have HRC to fight.

Not unimportantly, shining light on truth is not in any way racist. It Mrs. BHO said it and it’s on video, then she said it. Deal with it. Don’t try to blame who found it out.

Maybe you should blame Benjamin Franklin. If he had never invented electricity, Al Gore could never have invented the internet. And this recording could never have surfaced.

  21. Rev Whitey on June 1st, 2008 at 9:50 pm

Most all of the blacks in Southside Chicago hate whitey. Thats why they go to the black liberation church. Michele was a classmate of mine in high school. She couldn’t stand be with white people.

  22. anu on June 1st, 2008 at 11:56 pm

Yeah. deal with it. the onslaught of the obamanation and its full force is what you will deal with. actually, i wish she said all of the things she said. in the last 8 years, I too have not been proud of my country, I also feel a disdain against people who discriminate against the color of your skin and americans are by and large very cruel and mean. these are facts. all true. now deal with that. another thing, deal with the fact that barack won and she lost. the repubs don’t like one of their whitey to lose, after all the right wing has been pushing her right? whitey’s all of you. shame on you for smearing a good man.if you do ths wewill do itto your war hero. as for HRC stick a fork n her. she don. she wants barack done with in “june”.

  23. anu on June 1st, 2008 at 11:57 pm

I HATE WHTEY. ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE RACISTS. MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL. LOOK AT YOURSELF FIRST AND THEN POINT FINGERS AT OTHERS. RACISTS WHITEYS.

  24. Mickey on June 2nd, 2008 at 1:23 am

This is fair game. And you guys are making a mistake in not vetting Obama thoroughly enough before hoisting him on your shoulders as the real “messiah” that many Ds are making of him. The truth is, he has some really scary associations and strong marxist influences. And there is no such thing as “black liberation theology” in the Bible, so many christians will be mega turned off by that the more they find out about it, as it is a really heinous doctrine. Many are already finding out about it. Janet Parshall talked about it on her show.
When you hear Jeremiah Wright and Father Fleger (sp?), when they are done talking you feel as though they are whipping up hatred amongst the audience. If they were really preaching something godly (as is their charge as spiritual leaders, let’s face it) the real test would be “Does everyone here love God, themselves and others more, after what’s been said? Or do they feel like punching someone out? If the latter– watch out, kids…….This ain’t christianity.

  25. Mickey on June 2nd, 2008 at 1:24 am

Btw, this could well be one of the things Hillary is banking on.

  26. Mickey on June 2nd, 2008 at 1:25 am

But blame republicans? How about addressing all the racially divisive and/or anti-american comments coming out of the Obama-mania crowd, including his pastor and wife?

  27. Mickey on June 2nd, 2008 at 1:27 am

..and I am absolutely stunned that democrats actually managed to put out a candidate that makes Hillary look moderate and politically attractive as a candidate. Stunned.

  29. Sheena on June 2nd, 2008 at 1:37 am

This is f-ing hilarious. Look how desperate Clinton and the GOP have become. Okay, the video does exist, only Michelle ISN’T saying “Whitey.”

She’s railing against George Bush! She said …. and I’m paraphrasing:

“Why’d he let folks drown in Katrina?”

    “Why’d he attack Iraq?”

So then the spin doctors and fake deaf people are spinning this as:

“Whitey let folks drown in Katrina”

    “Whitey attack Iraq”

You folks need to get a habit. Try knitting. Or kite flying. LOL

You better hope she doesn’t say “why’d he attack(s) Iraq” because if she throws in the ’s version “whitey attack’s Iraq” and “why’d he attack’s Iraq, then you’d have a problem on your hands. It could be ebonics “why’d he attacks Iraq”? Or she could be a hater “whitey attacks Iraq”. Maybe she just says “whitey attack Iraq” but that is really really ebonically challenged for a Harvard grad. Hell, she’s angry so maybe its a command!

  31. Henry on June 2nd, 2008 at 7:53 am

If this tape exists, then why doesn’t Larry Johnson actually release the GOP sources? Also - I have a hard time believing that no one in the media would have run across this video, considering all the sifting and searching they have done through the whole Trinity UCC archives. I am surprised that the 4 or 5 Rev. Wright clips is all they came up with. If he was so “incendiary” for 20 years, you’d think they’d have come up with more juicy bits.

Sheena - are you for real, or are you joking around? Have you actually seen this video? Or are you referring to a video that could possibly be misheard? I am inclined to think that the GOP in all is desperation to racially smear Obama would doctor a tape in such a fashion. I don’t hold anything beneath them.

  32. Smartguy on June 2nd, 2008 at 3:41 pm

I heard of the rumored tape from the Clinton camp first.
Supposedly MSNBC has a copy but are sitting on it because Chris Matthews is in the tank for Barack Obama, tangly leg and all.

  35. S. heath on June 2nd, 2008 at 4:32 pm

The reason this has not been released yet is they Republicans want to be sure Obama is the nominee before they attack. Obama is a racist and an anti-American and so is his wife. Even most democrats will be voting for McCain in the fall!

  36. RonK on June 2nd, 2008 at 5:06 pm

Anu, such hate, but I am not surprised by that coming from an obamanot. If you hate this country so much why stay? You are only fooling yourself. The Obama campaign is nothing but one big lie. The MSM won’t report anything he says as a lie. The MSM is not who is sifting and searching through all the archives. They won’t do their jobs, which is to report the truth fairly and balanced. they are in love with the guy. Obama has told many, many lies, but no one will report them. He would not be the first black President, in fact, he is only roughly 6% African Negro. Obama is mostly Arabic. See all his lies here:

    http://www.webcommentary.com/a.....ate=080529

Joe S., if it weren’t for Republicans, there would be no Civil Rights act of 1964, as most Democrats voted against it. It is the Democrats who play the race card most of the time. You and Howard Dean try to re-write history, AGHHHHHHHH! Try reading the history books, or are you going to say it was written by whitey? Yet another excuse for your own ignorance.
Sheena, maybe, maybe not. We will find out this Fall.

“According to Boonman Tribune blog source, Here is what is said in the video

From what I understand, it is a tape of Michelle Obama criticizing the Bush administration.

    How you’d write it:

Why did Bush cut folks off medicaid?
Why did Bush let New Orleans drown?
Why did Bush do nothing about Jena?
Why did Bush put us in Iraq for no reason?

    How you’d say it:

Why’d he cut folks off medicaid?
Why’d he let New Orleans drown?
Why’d he do nothing about Jena?
Why’d he put us in Iraq for no reason?

How Larry Johnson (Clinton supporter) and GOP wants you to hear it:

    Whitie cut folks off medicaid?
    Whitie let New Orleans drown?
    Whitie do nothing about Jena?
Whitie put us in Iraq for no reason?”

  38. Sheena on June 2nd, 2008 at 8:46 pm

BTW, Brian, your Ebonics reference is offensive. Please keep the sarcastic commentary to yourself. It defeats whatever argument you may give by showing you to be a bigot. Anyone who has heard either of the Obamas speak would never say their use of the English language has any resemblance to “Ebonics.” Most people in America use contractions, no matter what their race is.

  39. John on June 2nd, 2008 at 9:48 pm

MSNBC has lost all credibility is they do not release this tape right away. This is real significant news that could…..will……. affect the outcome of the presidential election of the most powerful country in the world. But Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman, and the other partisans in journalist’s clothing at MSNBC don’t want to hurt Obama.

  40. BLP on June 2nd, 2008 at 10:04 pm

This is what many of you believe, as I understand it:

Michello Obama, surely aware that she was being videotaped, used the word “Whitey” several times in anger, apparently oblivious to its implications to her husband’s political future.

PLUS, Republican Party operatives were the only ones to find this tape, and get a copy of it, despite the fact it was made at a left-wing, African American conference.

PLUS, despite being able to keep it under wraps, despite the fact that these same Republicans want SO VERY MUCH to run against Obama, they leaked its presence at a time when Hillary Clinton can still win the nomination should Super Delegates choose to change their mind (which the tape would surely help happen).

Yup. All makes perfect sense. Assuming you believe black people actually use the word Whitey (it’s 2008, not 1978).

His mother is a coal burner. It didn’t bother ‘ol Michelle one bit, that her husbands mother is white, to sit in that awful church listening to and agreeing with the rant of that anti white preacher for loathe those 20 years. This story is real, the only question is will those supporters of the appeaser care?

  43. chris on June 3rd, 2008 at 7:37 am

The video IS real. How are you guys getting into pronunciation arguments without seeing the tape? Her meaning is clear from the surrounding material.

This is part of a larger narrative defining Obama through multiple associations with extremists of different types. As I’ve said before(look up): THE TAPE IS REAL.

    Deal with it!

  44. Conservative Steve on June 3rd, 2008 at 2:56 pm

Man - O - Man, I wish Hillary could win. These 2 Obamas scare the crap out of me. You just listen to what they say and you know in your bones that after the election your gonna hear “Surprise” !!!
Oh, we didn’t mention it but were gonna take the country to the hard left.
    Welcome to socialist land..

  45. Joe MacDee on June 3rd, 2008 at 3:07 pm

You guys are pathetic. Bill Clinton was the second coming of John F. Kennedy to the democrats and Hillary was a troll-like version of Jackie O. What the hell happened?!!?

I have never seen anyone eat their own young like the Dems. The majority of the black coommunity is just as guilty of Clinton bashing, too. I mean some of my friends called Bill Clinton “the first black President” for God’s sake. He was the most popular President in modern times among African-Americans. He could do no wrong. They defended his lies, adultery, and many that I spoke with even liked the fact that he had smoked pot and snorted coke. He was “one of us” they would tell me.

Hillary was voted in as Senator of New York in a land slide victory in spite of the fact that it was obvious that she was only doing that for the stepping stone that it provided to being POTUS. They were Democratic Gold…no PLATINUM.

And now, a peanut-headed, satellite-eared, no experience ( 2 years in the Senate… 2 FREAKIN’ YEARS!!!), Ivy league egg head, wannabe pretender comes in and suddenly the Clinton’s are EVIL, LIARS, RACISTS, CLOSET REPUBLICANS, DISPICABLE, CHEATERS, THE WORST KIND OF POLITICIANS, etc. etc. etc.

It is amazing how damn naive and obtuse the majority of young virgin liberal democrats are, and as much as it pains me to say it, many in the black community. So many just fall in line behind whatever the loony left’s so-called leadership in this country says and believes whatever the mainstream media tells them. This guy doesn’t care about the black community. All he cares about is his political career. I mean look at some of the choices he has made recently, in which he turned his back on his own church and community.

I mean I have no problem with someone having opposing views to mine. There are other conservatives who I disagree with on many issues. However, liberalism is borderline cultism, and it is amazing to me that many of our young, college age kids get brainwashed by political propaganda and that you are scolded and even ostracized from the political process if you don’t walk lock-step with ALL of the radical leftist views of the new democratic party. There is no room for individualism in the new liberal democrat party. Look at the situation in Michigan and Florida. This is unbelievable. I have heard the dems scream about being “disenfranchised” for years, and as I recall especially in Florida in 2000. Where the hell are the organizers now? I don’t hear the black community leaders screaming in the streets that “their peoples votes didn’t get counted”. Well, they didn’t. Your own party just decided whose votes to count, and whose not to count in 2 states, and you could care less because it favored the candidate that they have told you to support. Pathetic.

Wake up people. Think for yourself for a change. Don’t take what these people ram down your throats. Research the candidates on your own. Take a long hard look at a candidate before you blindly defend every action of theirs and their supporters and family members. As much of a sinister politician as Billary is, I would much rather have her experience in the white house at such a critical time in our nation’s history when we are facing serious challenges both within and without of our nation’s borders. Does this guy really have what it takes to be a better leader than the other people running. It looks like to me all he has done is follow his whole life, and take the path of political expediency.

    Wake up!

  46. Mac on June 3rd, 2008 at 3:14 pm

    Not whitey - Why’d he

1.) “typical white person”- Barak Obabma
2.) “oppression of rich white people”- Wright
3.) “whole lotta white people [crying]“- Pfleger
    4.) …and now…we have to rally against “whitey”-Michelle Obama

I am sick of this crybaby, unexperienced, plagiarizing, slacker always playing the “victim”!!!

If any of you ever worked for civil rights, then you would also be offended by this exploitation of the entire spirit of the movement!!!

  48. chris on June 3rd, 2008 at 10:35 pm

For those of you quoting the new republic you are WRONG. In the the lines before the ones everyone is quoting she refers to white people in general, not a specific white person(namely GWBush). The content of the tape as originally reported on this blog and other locations is correct.

If it wasn’t, Obama would say “where’s the beef”. Republicans are, and I know for a fact McCain has it, holding it back hoping Barack will make his OWN mistake due to the stress.

Obamatons are going to believe their fearless leader to the end. Just like the Bushies. Everyone else is going to look at each other and think “what have we gotten ourselves into?”

There is serious money on offer from multiple sources, PLUS whatever money any media org would pay to scoop this. What does it say that it hasn’t broken yet? A presidential campaign costs hundreds of millions of dollars today, a few million isn’t worth it for the real thing. A few million would be a huge prize for a “Why’d he” tape, though.

The Obama flap about the “first time proud” comments were actually about THIS TAPE. That’s when it first came up.

can you hear the sound of the flush?

  50. johnny on June 4th, 2008 at 2:33 am

Whitey is used often, but “white boy” has become more prevalent in recent years. Come to Little Rock, home of the Clintons, and you can be called the following: whitey, white boy, pecker wood, cracker, honkey, john wayne, etc… . This has been going on for many years and will continue to for many more. I can even provide advice on locations to visit for an enlightening experience. Here is a short list starting with the most exciting and so on:
    1. Sweet Home, Arkansas (just roll down your window and let ‘em know your white)
    2. College Station, Arkansas (ditto)
    3. Little Rock: Roosevelt Rd. (between I-530 and S. University)
    4. Little Rock: Asher Ave.
    5. Little Rock: Fairpark Blvd. (Get on this street and walk East, back in the hood).
    6. Little Rock: Wolf Street (Home of the infamous Wolf Street Crips).
    7. Little Rock: 6th Street (just go to the Clinton Library and walk 6 blocks in any direction)

I could keep going, but your odds of being called something wonderful (if your white) are 100% in any of these locations.

All liberals should be required to live in any of these areas for at least one year before being able to vote. I lived there for 5 - it was a life altering experience, to say the least.

Ruthie, you uneducated moron. There have been tons of stories about John McCain’s wife and her drug abuse(prescription drugs) as a matter of fact. She started a NPA which helped people who couldn’t afford medication but she used it as a front to feed her habit. She has appologized and joined NA, also did hundreds of hours of community service because of it.

Get your facts straight you moron.

  53. Matt on June 4th, 2008 at 8:19 pm

There is something really wrong with a candidate who befriends ranting bigot Reverands; works hand-in-hand with a terrorist for the Woods foundation; preaches change when he’s giving earmarks to his buddies, and, frankly, has too little experience. Let’s not forget his wife who’s afraid of going into gas stations as a black woman and was proud to be an American one time.

Rezko,Nation of Islam,Auchi, the Khalidi’s,the Ayers’,Wright, the Radical white Catholic priest, Black Liberation Theology and the Obamas are all part of the same puzzle and the American people will put the pieces together will the help of some tapes by early November.

  57. captain j on June 5th, 2008 at 6:44 am

    Two observations

1.To the liberals, such as sheena, on here, saying what the tape REALLY says: does that mean you heard it? Also, is it the GOPs fault that michelle obama made racist statements, or are you just blaming them for letting others know she made the statements? Is obama culpable at all if she made such statements?

    2. As a Louisiananian, I HOPE that she brought up Jena, regardless of the context. That will be extremely damaging that she is implying the federal government should have done something different in regard to Jena, because that will stir up such racial problems that you would not believe, and paint the obamas as blatantly racist and unobjective.

  58. James B. New Jersey on June 5th, 2008 at 6:42 pm

Lets be clear.. I don’t know what kind of church you go to but the church of my preference does more than collect my money and preach to me on Sunday. 40,000 goes a long way to community outreach programs, something of which Trinity has a lot of.

  59. James B. New Jersey on June 5th, 2008 at 6:53 pm

Jena… The black student deserved to be tried for their actions and that is comming from a black man. What didn’t happen and should have is that the white students responsible for the nuicenoose should have been disaplined in such a way that they could learn from their actions. Think of the history behind the start of the conflict. It is direct relation to what the noose represents to blacks in the south. This was a learning expreience for all the students that was missed by the parents (who may not have cared on either side) and the school administration. As far as the governments fault in the matter any racial injustice from any source is a federal crime. To hang a noose as an afront to a black person has racial undertones. The federal government should have taken over both cases and held the outcome over the heads of all the parents black and white, school administration and the students to force understanding of the civil right violations that all of them ignored. Jena was not just a failing of responsible adults to educate children before things esculated out of hand but it wa a failing of America to demonstrate that we are a nation that values racial tollerance.

  60. James B. New Jersey on June 5th, 2008 at 7:08 pm

Facts……….. How many of you have listened to the Wright Sermons in their entirety? don’t get me worng what he said is inexcuseable but in none of what he said did he imply that black people or any people should rise up and opress another group of people. That is part of the definition for racism. “a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent SUPERIORITY of a particular race “. Give me a full sermon where Wright claimed superiority. Give me one peice of language that shows Pleiger claimed superiority. The mentioning of a specific race does not denote racism supremacy denotes racism. In no way did either of these men claim supremacy. Now are they insulting? Yes. Childish? Yes. Racist? No. I find that we throw the word racist around way too much and the true racism will be allowed to thrive in this environment. When you have voters say the race plays a role in their desision on a canidate to vote on and they vote for the white or black canidate that is a claim of supremacy that is racism.

  61. Matt on June 6th, 2008 at 12:22 am

FYI…this is not Republicans spreading this…

Let’s not engage in the same tactics we rail against. As far as anyone knows, no Republican has anything to do with this, so let’s be honest with ourselves before accusing others.

Larry Johnson, a devout Clinton supporter is one source of this. It had no real credibility until Bob Beckel, no Republican, a deep insider and Obama supporter, revealed that he has multiple reliable sources who have seen this tape.

Sure, the Republicans have seized on the rumor with glee, but I am not sure we can accuse them of starting it if Beckel and Johnson are out there with this. Johnson is untrustworthy, but Beckel is probably sounding the alarm bells to prepare to circle the wagons. If this thing is true, prepare for it now, not later.

  62. Matt on June 6th, 2008 at 12:28 am

For those of you playing up the “Why’d He” response…

It does not fit. New Orleans had not been hit by Katrina at the time of this, in 2004.

…and Jena. Come on. This was supposed to have happened in 2004, before Barack was even elected to the Senate.

Guys, if we are going to make a logical argument against a rumor, make sure that the basis of our response is not flimsier than the rumor itself…Come on people!

This is why they call us Obamabots, because too many of us ignore facts in plain sight. Stop doing this…you make the rest of us look bad.

  63. Lucy on June 6th, 2008 at 2:22 am

Republicans are not introducing the race card. Obama started all that by bludgeoning anyone who criticized him with the threat of being labeled a racist. He introduced it when he made the wholly average and insincere “racism” speech that garnered him such undeserved praise. And Michelle Obama introduced it when she made comments about who’d have exepcted this black girl from the south side of Chicago to end up in the White House? Well she had better not expect it herself, because all thinking people who honestly evaluate the candidates without jumping on the popularity bandwagon, without vying to be the most politically correct, and without being intimidated by the prospect of being labeled racist for daring to disagree with Obama will be voting for McCain, doesn’t matter if they were lifelong Democrats like me. I will not vote for Obama because I don’t trust him.

  64. deapp on June 6th, 2008 at 4:17 am

“I hate the gooks,” McCain said yesterday in response to a question from reporters aboard his campaign bus. “I will hate them as long as I live.”

McCain, a former Navy pilot who spent five years in a Vietnamese prisoner of war camp, was questioned about the language because of a story last month in the Nation magazine reporting his continued use of the slur.

Since then, reports of McCain’s language have been circulating on Internet chat sites and e-mails among Asian Americans, many of whom find the the term offensive and inappropriate for an elected official.

“The use of a racist slur can’t be acceptable for any national leader, regardless of his background,” said Diane Chin, executive director of the San Francisco-based Chinese for Affirmative Action. “For someone running for president not to recognize the power of words is a problem.”

While McCain’s words may have little effect in conservative South Carolina, where few Asian Americans live, they could come back to haunt him in other states.

“Historically, straight talkers who say things off the top of their heads eventually hang themselves with those sorts of remarks,” said Bruce Cain, a political scientist at the University of California at Berkeley.

“While it might not hurt him now, Democrats are not going to have any hesitation about using this stuff to string him up later.”

    McCain made no apologies yesterday.

“I was referring to my prison guards,” McCain said, “and I will continue to refer to them in language that might offend some people because of the beating and torture of my friends.”

McCain made it clear that his anger extends only toward his captors. As a senator, he was one of the leaders of the postwar effort to normalize U.S. relations with Vietnam.

“If people understood the context, they wouldn’t be upset,” Mike Murphy, a senior adviser to the campaign, said last night.

But the racial slur used by the senator has a long, painful history that is felt by many Asian Americans.

The word “gook” was first used in 1899 by American soldiers fighting Filipino insurgents. During the Korean War, the term was aimed at Koreans and Chinese. It was directed at the Vietnamese when Americans were fighting in Vietnam. It is now used as a slur toward any Asian or Pacific Islander.

Latest Updates on Larry Johnson’s Holy Grail, a.k.a., The Michelle Obama Tape

The pro-Hillary blog HillBuzz gives the most detailed description of the alleged Michelle Obama tape yet.

(By the way, people are still e-mailing me about the “why’d he”/”whitey” distinction, and what the references to Jena and Katrina say about the timeline. Folks, the transcript on the liberal blog is made up, it’s a hypothetical prediction of what would be on the tape. It’s no longer worth a moment’s debate.)

The HillBuzz description of the tape still raises a few questions, though. They say, “The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was filmed between June 26th - July 1st 2004 in Chicago, IL at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference at Trinity United Church”, but the Rainbow/PUSH event in 2004 was held at the Sheraton, not Trinity United; did the church cosponsor it or something?

A TownHall blogger claims Rudy Giuliani’s team acquired the tape.

Finally, a media source answers my question of how Michelle Obama making these kinds of comments could escape the attention of local media: “How did the message of Trinity United Church of Christ escape the attention of the Chicago media? Or William Ayers? When you’re in the the tank, you’re in the tank.”

UPDATE: A reader found the schedule for the 2004 Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference. For what it is worth, there’s no mention of Michelle Obama as a speaker. She is mentioned as a “special guest” at the Women’s Luncheon on Monday, June 28, 2004, along with Shoshana Johnson, the first African-American woman POW. (This is obviously the event where they were photographed with Mrs. Farrakhan.)

Until you see the tape with your own eyes, I would not count on any massive shoes dropping…

It never ceases to amaze me how the criminal liberal media will try to spin everything around in attempts to lay the blame on the republicans. For 8 years they ignored wrong doings of the Clinton administration on several stories that made Watergate look like a boy scout’s meeting, i.e. Clinton’s authorizing sales of ICBM guidance systems to Communist China which now allows then to strike our Western seaboard cities, as well as the Chinese payback . . . “China gate” in return the Chinese contributed 5 million to the DNC, then there Clinton’s national security advisor - Sandy Berger’s theft of clasified documents from the National Archives, before they could be presented to the 9-11 commision. Yet, all the good little socialist-democrats march lock-in-step to the party’s beat like none of this ever happened. By the time the Democrats wake up and realize that their party has been hijacked by the Marxist -Socialist it will be to late for them and our nation.

IRRELEVANT, DON’T YOU GET IT? Freakin idiots.

  71. Matt on June 10th, 2008 at 5:35 pm

    John W. > Tortuca

And Ravenspeak, you pretty much nailed the Democratic party.

Barack Obama has three years of experience in the Senate. He will have absolutely no idea what he’s doing as president. He’s decided to surround himself with all of these shady characters, such as Rev. Wright and Rezko. Do you really want a president that surrounds himself with these kinds of people? Obama will retreat from Iraq, causing every soldier who has given their life to have done so in vain. If we stay and finish the fight then those soldiers will have actually died for something. Leaving Iraq before it is completely stable will allow Jihadists to reenter the region and plan out attacks on America unchallenged–attacks that have not happened since America went into Iraq. Obama supports taxing oil companies’ profits. Oil companies will just pass these taxes onto the consumers and gas prices will go up even higher as a direct result of Obama’s policies. With gas prices increasing at the rate they currently are, the election of Obama is the last thing America needs. Barack and other “liberals” (see: Socialists) support nationalizing (socializing) the health care industry.

Liberals just don’t seem to get it. Barack would be disastrous as a president. He keeps referring to McCain’s possible presidency as a third Bush term. McCain is much different than Bush and has differed in his opinion on many of Bush’s policies. And even if McCain would be like another Bush term, I’d gladly take that over the new Jimmy Carter term that Barack Obama represents.

  72. Steve242 on June 10th, 2008 at 6:58 pm

lay off my wife? why? she didn’t lay off hillary clinton: see the video where she says “if you can’t run your own house then you can’t run the white house.” She has never retracted that statement. GROSS!!!! Especially in light of the fact, that the Obama camp made sure that any comment made by anyone in any way connected to sen. clinton had to retract statements that had anything remotely to do with race. Why didn’t his perfect untouchable wife have to retract her disgusting anti-woman trash talk?
I agree with Joe MacDee– He is not “the man of the people that he portrays”– See selling out his lower income constituents/victims of nuclear power plant leaks by letting Exelon red pen drafts of legislation for looser regulations….
He is in bed with Louis Farrakhan…which I don’t think shows support of the black community just support of a fanatic who can’t find an intelligent way to inspire and lift the community other than by making jews and other groups scapegoats… disgusting… if the kkk endorsed mccain/clinton/whoever they would rightly be over if they didn’t reject the endorsement– how dare this cocky smooth politician scoff at tim russert, the american who submitted the question, and sen. clinton for making the distinction of “disagreeing” with this fanatic’s views and “rejecting” the damn endorsement!

  75. luvamerica on June 11th, 2008 at 2:37 pm

I have to add something to this Michelle Obama discussion.

Whether or not there is tape of her putting down European-Caucasian Americans as “whiteys”, we do have ACTUAL EXISTING TAPE of her stating that for the first time in her life she was proud of her country, America……whoa, girly-girl-sister!!! What gives you the grounds to bitch about this great country?

This person (Michelle Obama) is a black woman who has had a very nice American life, not somewhere in Africa, but in AMERICA……she has a college degree from a fine university (Princeton), she is a lawyer, and holds high positions in Chicago. She is married to a senator and has a huge amount of money to live on. From what I understand she really has a shoe-fetish with hundreds of shoes to wear as well.

So what is her beef? What she is REALLY saying is “I can’t love my country until I get my way, which is to vote for my husband for the Democratic candidate for the U.S. presidential race in 2008 and that all blacks get what they want whenever they want no matter what (entitlement?????).” WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLs—t!!! How racist is her comment . . . and how can anyone disregard such racist comments……remember everyone, if this guy gets the presidency of our great country, guess who he sleeps with and listens to every day and every night? MICHELLE OBAMA.

Hell will freeze over before I vote for this man and his bigoted wife (and he who funded his bigoted hate-based church for over 20 years!). What if a Caucasian -American made racial comments such as hers……the public, the media, everyone would be all over that person. But because she’s black, this is not getting the press it deserves. Everyone is oh so scared to speak the truth about black bigotry towards non-blacks.

SAY NO TO OBAMA in ‘08 and be proud of your country EVEN if you’re not always getting what you want, because it still beats living elsewhere….especially AFRICA!

  76. Joe on June 12th, 2008 at 9:56 pm

How did the world get here? Unfortunately, the world views being espoused so loudly, are geared toward the younger generation. The reason that is, is because the younger generation is much more impressionable and easily led. Do you remember having any credible insight into our world at 20? Democrats are playing these impressionable souls like strings on a fiddle! Believe me when I tell you…if you are 20 yrs old, you WILL see things differently after you’ve grown (especially after having a family!) Anyone that remembers 9/11, (or has intimate knowledge/memory of the World Trade Center) as I do, (I worked there for 4 years) cannot forget what has become of this world. It is not propaganda, when the government says there are people (very capable people) hell bent on our destruction! DO NOT LOSE SIGHT OF THIS! Some people think Bush invented this war? Remember what we felt like on that day? Everyone I knew including me, wanted to eradicate our enemies. Does anyone think Saddam Hussein wasn’t our enemy? It doesn’t matter if we didn’t find WMD’s! He blatently disregarded UN (and the world’s) promptings to allow weapon inspectors in! Does anyone remember that? THINK REASONABLY FOR A MOMENT…If a vicious and tyrannical despot acts as if he’s hiding something that may potentially be threatening to our well-being, should we not take that threat seriously? Is anyone not happy about Saddam’s demise? If you’re not, then I think you should be brought up on treason! This is the most important issue of our time! It’s not about gas prices! (although they are hurting me badly). It’s about allowing our children to grow in a safe and intellectually cultivating environment.
Do I support John McCain? That’s a resounding YES! Would he be my first choice? NO! But the alternative is too dire to contemplate! Obama wishes to accomodate our enemies! He wants to make 1 world government! Don’t you people see the harm in all of this? What has Bush done to you except keep you safe? Do you think his policies have brought these economic conditions about? Does anyone realize that there has been a Democratic Congress for the bulk of his term? FYI Black people hate white people because white people enslved the black people

I am certain this will be reflected in how Obama governs. However Obama’s change

will be constrained by Washington DC. It you think he or any other president will

    change Washington you know nothing

about Washington. Washington is a city of professional staffers who work for

    elected officals.

McCain does not have a pastor problem people! Obama does. A pastor that McCain was endorsed by said some fruity stuff. Obama’s pastor, friend, children’s baptizer, marriage pastor, and “spiritual mentor” according to Obama, is a crazy racist who hates white people and anything else other than african american. Those are not congruent.

Quit being blind. McCain sucks on issues as he’s not a true conservative. At least he loves the country…that is…all of the people, black, white, brown, tan, yellow, red and everything else inbetween.

“I would find it reasonable for any minority to be upset if a candidate were intimately tied to David Duke, and I would hope, and expect, most whites to feel the same way. Let us not be more tolerable of the reverse.” (-John W)

Why do “expect” such a thing? Dr. Duke has served the interests of European Americans for the last 30 years. I generally don’t vote, but if Dr. Duke was tied to a candidate, that would be a signal to me that this candidate was willing to serve the interests of European Americans. I challenge you to read some of Duke’s work or listen to podcast of him before you pass judgement on the man. For some reason, when European Americans look out for their own interests they get labeled as haters or supremacists. But if blacks or mestizo’s do the same they’re labeled as “civil rights” activists? As this country becomes less “white”, it might be advisable that European Americans start acting like other ethnic groups and start pursuing their ethnic interests.

Anyone who wants to see what a mess happens when an amateur gets elected to office should come to Massachusetts and see what a cluster-f*ck this state has turned into since Deval Patrick — a personal friend of Obama’s (and also one of Obie’s speechwriters :-) — was elected. The guy had no creds, was elected because Mass voters, who are as left as you can get without falling off the political spectrum, fell in love with his detailed governing plan, which consisted entirely of a bumper sticker with the slogan “Yes We Can” printed on it. Oh, and he won because he ran against a weak woman candidate who was out of touch … sound familiar?

Barry O’Bama is a milque-toast poseur who will be in over his head if elected. His wife will be the one running this country if he gets elected. And she hates me because I’m white. So I will hate her back. From the booth.

    Jerry R @ 11;
I haven’t yet heard a more accurate assessment of this year’s election. Right-on on all accounts.

The reason rumors of this type fly in the first place is because they are based somewhat on reality. And the reality is that Michelle comes off as a pretty mad lady who has said some pretty damned stupid, if not controversial, things. And that she sat in the pews (for 20 years) with Obama listening to the Raving Rev doesn’t help.

Floyd DaBarber also has some wisdom to dispense on hiring a rookie to a journeyman’s work. Kudos to you too Floyd. And John W, a very clear thinker.

Logging on to progressive blogs is never a pleasure. The discourse on them is usually pretty course and not very well informed. This latest thing about the Clintons and Republicans joining to fight Obama is pretty nutty stuff (Ruthie @ 5) but I guess it is, to the demented mind of the progressive, the ultimate conspiracy. What’s next? The whole world I guess. But I digress, the above mentioned contributors here (Jerry, etc., not you Ruthie) have really expressed some great views. Great stuff guys.

Subj: Thesis - Michele Obama aka Michelle LaVaughn Robinson

    OBAMA’S MILITANT RACISM REVEALED

In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack Obama stated that America was a nation founded on ‘crime and hatred’. Moreover, she stated that whites in America were ‘ineradicably racist’. The 1985 thesis, titled ‘Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community’ was written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson.
Michelle Obama stated in her thesis that to ‘Whites at Princeton , it often seems as if, to them, she will always be Black first…’ However, it was reported by a fellow black classmate, ‘If those ‘Whites at Princeton ‘ really saw Michelle as one who always would ‘be Black first,’ it seems that she gave them that impression’.
Most alarming is Michele Obama’s use of the terms ’separationist’ and ‘integrationist’ when describing the views of black people.
Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a ’separationist’ view of race.
‘By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better understand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight.’
Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her ‘further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant.’
Michele Obama clearly has a chip on her shoulder.
Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America , but she elevates black over white in her world.

Here is another passage that is uncomfortable and ominous in meaning:
‘There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost.’
What is Michelle Obama planning to do with her future resources if she’s first lady that will elevate black over white in America ?
The following passage appears to be a call to arms for affirmative action policies that could be the hallmark of an Obama administration.
‘Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the bulk of their enrollments.’

The conclusion of her thesis is alarming.
Michelle Obama’s poll of black alumni concludes that other black students at Princeton do not share her obsession with blackness. But rather than celebrate, she is horrified that black alumni identify with our common American culture more than they value the color of their skin. ‘I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility.’
Is it no wonder that most black alumni ignored her racist questionnaire? Only 89 students responded out of 400 who were asked for input.
Michelle Obama does not look into a crowd of Obama supporters and see Americans. She sees black people and white people eternally conflicted with one another.
The thesis provides a trove of Mrs. Obama’s thoughts and world view seen through a race-based prism.
This is a very divisive view for a potential first lady that would do untold damage to race relations in this country in a Barack Obama administration.

Michelle Obama’s intellectually refined racism should give all Americans pause for deep concern.
Now maybe she’s changed, but she sure sounds like someone with an axe to grind with America . Will the press let Michelle get a free pass over her obviously racist comment about American whites? I am sure that it will.
PS: We paid for her scholarship.

  83. Look Out! on June 13th, 2008 at 7:17 pm

In lieu of the fact that she and her husband are two, very public figures, not to mention the fact the her mother-in-law and the grandmohter of her children is caucasian-the accusation that she used she an inflammatory slur such as “Whitey” or anything close to it is very doubtful; especially if she is in a situation where she is being recorded. Moreover, as an attorney, she would not have allowed anyone to record her without her permission and as an intelligent, logical, hard-working person-in my opinion-it is also doubtful that she would be so careless.
Historical note: During the 1984 Democratic Nomination process-was there not someone-lurking in the dark as Jessse Jackson made his imflammatory remarks about Jewish people? Michelle Obama was in college at the time-I would think that she would have learned from history (ha-ha)–As a white male in his 70’s I think that it is highly probable that John McCain has made some sterotypical, off-colored or just downright racist remarks about “non-white” American (ha-ha-ha)-Too bad no one was around with a recording device-that’s okay we’ll get ‘em next time (ha-ha-ha).

Don’t get me wrong, if you were raised or have lived in American for any significant amount of time-it is very probable that racial bias or predjudice has tainted your thoughts, opinions, and/or speech. No, it is not right! and Yes, some are more “tainted” than others.

I all know is that now that an African-American is emerging on a position of near-ultimate power, whites are now experiencing the same suspicions, acrimony, and apprehensions African-Americans and other racial minorities have experienced for centuries. The difference is things like Manifest Destiny, The Trail of Tears, the harness of The African Slave Trade/Slavery, Jim Crow, Japenese Concentration Camps during WW2, The dogs let loose on Civil Rights protestors and other violations committed against racial minorities and encouraged by the Amercian government and white society-really took place and were actually documented!!! None of these instances were rumored or speculated. So I say to white-America what has been said black-America when racist and degrogatory words are spoken by a public figure against our race: “Lighten up!” “It’s not big deal!” and my favorite-”Get over it!”

  84. Zack on June 13th, 2008 at 9:24 pm

All of this racist sludge thrown out in desperation by the Republican Party makes me want to vote for Obama out of pure spite. I didn’t even like the guy–I was a hardcore Clinton supporter–but they’re really burning their ship on this one. It’s the same old BS. I find it insulting that the Right keeps making accusations of racism in the Left when all they can come up with is this bilge. What a bunch of slack-jawed bigots. Someone do us a favor and send them off on an ice floe with some radical Islamists. They deserve each other.

I was a Hillary Clinton supporter and I will hold my nose and vote for John McCain in November as will 50% of my family and friends who are lifelong Democrats. Check out Obama’s connection to Penny Pritzker, his Campaign Finance Chairperson. The mainstream media doesn’t want to you to know the truth about her subprime loan shark activities and the sweet heart deals the courts bestowed after her $42 million theft from Superior Bank, Illinois depositors. 1,400 people were victims in the Pritzker Enron-like theft. They have yet to be reimbursed for their loss. These are the kind of people Obama is close friends with. Unfortunately, for Obama we are judged by the company we keep, Pritzker, Pfleger, Wright, Ayers, who else? Check out Anderson Cooper’s CNN report on how Obama came to win his first run for the Illinois State Senatorship….. Some change!

  87. Jessie AkTES on June 14th, 2008 at 3:46 pm

Michelle Obama has shown her distrust of the whit community from her days in college. She had nothing at all to say when her husband denounced their pastor. In fact she sooked as idf she wanted to further defend him. It is time she spoke up in support of white people. After all does she intend to represent only her race in the white house? This woman seems to have a sot of hatred and animosity for white people just under the surface. Listen to her and be afraid. She is not the quality we need as first lady. There are HIDDEN AGENDAS with both of them.

  88. Gottobekidding on June 14th, 2008 at 4:12 pm

The close-minded Liberals in this country really need to pay attention, and grow up before it is too late. This will affect YOU also! This is beyond Party preference. This is about keeping America strong, productive, competitve and free. It’s standards and responsibilites have already become so deluded by inept and unpatriotic Leftist’s, and the Mainstream Media, who only care about their Party and “The Power”. Their “The country owes you a living” policy is a sham, a slap in the face, and a disgusting mark on the rest of the hard working society in America. Affirmative Action is nothing more then a pacifier and gift, which not only creates a less qualified and less efficient workforce, but also creates animostity and resentment towards more qualified individuals. Obama if elected, will certainly elaborate on Afirmative Action, and other ineffective and useless programs requiring your hard earned tax dollars. Being as inexperienced and unqualified that he is, Obama(with stong influence from his radical and biased wife Michelle)will surely succumb to “peer pressure” and reward the voters who elect him. I researched the article by BLAZE #82 above, and have found it to be accurate. Although I was a bit surprised by her extreme views, I was not totally shocked, since Obama and Michelle have been involved in, and supported a biased, radical activist, the so called “pastor” Wright, and his “church” for 20 years. Obama and Michelle are, who they are. Because he is running for the most powerful and responsible office in this great country, does not change the “fact” who Obama and Michelle are.

one interesting tidbit on this story, the actual women’s conference was on june 28th 2004 from 12-2pm at the sheraton hotel NOT Trinity. Two well known abc 7 on-air personalities were the co-hosts. Michelle is listed as present on rainbow/push info sheets on the event, but whether she spoke or was scheduled too is not listed. two things on this story are certain, either it is a total lie, or the real words of michelle are completely unknown. WHY? the obama team released a story to pundits that perhaps “whitey” had actually been “why’d he”. But they made one MAJOR error in this story. The lines mention “KATRINA”, the problem is obvious, the hurricane didnt even occur until 2005. Why a cover story that is so obviously fake for something that never occured? one more tidbit perhaps, rainbow/push itself has stated that of all events from the 2004 conference were filmed and recorded. But the work was done by an outside contractor. It seems hard to imagine that abc7 itself wouldnt have had a crew there with jesse jackson speaking and two of it’s on-air personalities present.
so finally, either the entire story is false, or a tape of her speaking actually exist but it wasnt from this event. I have spent far too many hours on this. lol Personally, I hope none of it is true. It would be terribly damaging. Peace.

It will be a sad sad day if our country ever became an Obama Nation. Then the U.S. would be an “obamination”. It saddens me that Colin Powell and Condi Rice never ran for office. I would have voted for either one of these fine folks. But Obama?? Not in my lifetime!! As a Christian Conservative, Mc Cain is not my first choice, but I will gladly give my vote to a war veteran who has always loved and will always protect the greatest country in the world!

  91. genie on June 15th, 2008 at 11:38 pm

BTW, Obama is ALL FROSTING AND NO CAKE!! He is the Liberal Media’s flavor of the week once they threw Hillary under the bus. The greedy media is already forming their news headines and thinking about winning their Pulitzer prize winning stories, “Our First black President’ “Michelle O to replace Jackie O”, “One nation Under Change” (The media doesn’t want Obama to win for what he could do, they want him to win for what THEY could write about him.)

And what change? Employment? Nope all full…We have the lowest employment rates ever.

Gas prices lowered? Sorry, the oil companies are infuencing the automakers to keep gas prices high whilst greasing their palms with the almighty dollar. (Google Lindsey William on You Tube) This one is even too big for you Jr.

The war in Iraq? If you bring the troops home without finding out why we are there in the first place, you will bring the war back to our own soil. (Do your homework, we are dealing with heartless godless killers. Leave this job to a war veteran, ’cause this one is out of your league Jr.)

National healthcare? Are you kidding me? The U.S. has the best healthcare in the world. If you make it national, you will ruin the entire system. Again, do your homework! Great Britain and Canada tried it and it doesn’t work! Their doctors are scrambling here in droves. because the doctors are paid by the government which might as well be minimum wage.

Just ask anyone who is on a government waiting list. Ever been on welfare Mr. Obama? It takes a minimum of 6 weeks just to get the process moving. And you want me to wait twice that just to see a doctor? Cause if the government pays the bill, everyone and their mother will be in line ahead of you. (Actually it will be the already overtaxed middle class and the rich paying for it.) And by taxing the rich you are going to penalize the heart of working for the American dream.

Oh that’s right, Michelle Obama struggles to keep her household budget together with her measly half million a year…So, change you say? The only change i see possible is change for the worst. if you get into office!

  92. Marge on June 17th, 2008 at 1:21 am

How ridiculous! Trinity United Church of Christ is an organization with white members that attend weekly. Why would anyone sit in a church where they are being called “whitey”. I’m not wasting a second more of my time on this silly site. Cough up the tape or shut up!!!!! This is what our country’s politics has been reduced to… McCain has no knowledge in any area, and we should make him president when the country is in recession?!? We’re in trouble!!!

  93. Marge on June 17th, 2008 at 1:34 am

I listened to McCain speak and he is an idiot. McCain is less intelligent than Bush. He look and sound like a stupid fool. He don’t know what he stand for and he is not stable with his opinions. The only thing I’m sure of is his overturning of Rove v. Wade (overturn the woman’s right to choose) and 100 more years of the Iraq war. Everything else he’s unsure about.

Here, here, kudos, and toasts with wine and champagne glasses held high to all of those who have written in with a clear understanding of the disaster ahead if an Obama presidency results in this great country! She (Michelle Obama) is hateful and racist and NEEDS TO GET OVER IT (whatever “IT” is that is eating at her!) , her hateful/racist against European Americans will influence her hubby (read the quotes from her thesis presented above by our resourceful readers!), and he is inexperienced, corrupt, and influenced by her!!! After just returning from a trip to Chicago and speaking to folks about their feelings towards Obama, here’s what most of them said: he’s inexperienced and tied to corruption in Chicago. NICE, huh????

As an Independent, my vote will go for McCain, or the Pope before I’ll ever vote for Obama. Spread the word, my friends, Obama spells further disaster for the U.S.!!!!

SAY “NO” TO OBAMA and SPREAD THE WORD !!!!!

Who really cares if there is a tape or not….everyone knows what racists they both are. Who sits in a church that spews racism, and keeping the black man down unless you are a RACIST. I don’t give a shit about the color of his skin I am totally colorblind, however I care about the hatred that is portrayed by this man and all who surround him including Michelle…he tries to keep his Muslim heritage on the down low but isn’t that what a Muslim is a RACIST. They hate anyone different from them. I used to give American’s more credit than they apparently deserve but apparently they have forgotten what its like to watch Commercial airliners with innocent people being flown into skyscrapers and desperate people jumping from burning buildings ifavor of falling to their deaths rather than burning. I am a die hard Republican but I refuse to support McCain either I would have chosen Hillary over them all and boy was that a stretch. If being married to or related to an elected official counts as having political experience then we American need to throw our support behind Mrs. Barbara Bush for president and Mrs. Laura Bush for vice-president–who else in modern American history has a son and a husband that served as presidents and another son that served as governor. She is a well of knowledge and influence (much more so than Hillary Clinton ,John McCain or even Barack Obama)!

Speaking of influence, why were white Americans concerned about the possible racist or other detrimental influences the Misses Bushes or the Misses McCain may have on their husbands.

It is amazing that with the mere threat of racism or racial deparity against white America raising its head–that white Amercians (of European, Hispanic and Middle Eastern descent) want to become defensive and somewhat paranoid. Is it perhaps that white American is fully aware of the negative impacts of racism on a groups or an individual’s quality of life? Do white Americans acknowledge that racism IS an ugly reality that is apart of living in America (like mortgage crisis ro the credit crunch) but because it does not affect their quality of life–directly–it is of little consequence?

IS THERE ANY PROOF THAT MICHELLE OBAMA USED A RACIAL SLUR OR IS A RACIST? NO! NONE AT ALL!

As the race for the white house moves on–the whole country and the entire world gets to see white american squirm and react hostily, at the possibility of its worse nightmare (an intelligent, well-educated, wise and experienced “un-white” political figure having total power over them) coming true.

Look on the bright side, if Obama is elected president–may be his accomplishment could serve as groundS to do away with affirmative action and other diversity iniatives all together ! (HA-HA)

Weather or not this tape exists Michelle has said quite enough and so has her husgand and the minister he counted as an uncle for 20 years to make me be very afraid of him as the president of this great country.
His family background and terrorist and criminal friends should be enough to scare the crap out of any thinking person.
Then add to all that his lack of experience and lack of voting record and his willingness to sit down with terrorists and talk and you have the picture of the downfall of this country.

Obama is in my opinion someone we should all be afraid of because he represents someone who has a lack of judgement in friends and associates as well as a lack of respect for this country.
Is that the kind of person we want leading our nation?
Is that the message we want to send to the rest of the worls?
Most of all is that the person we want making decisions about our safety and the future of our children?
    Not me.

If Mr. Obama was a the “power” forward who just led the Celtics to a 4-2 vicotry in the NBA playoffs–his family background, assoiciates, and religious or church affiliations would be a “non-issue” . He would probably be just a beloved or may even just as trusted as Michael Jordan!

If the voitng public held the Clintons, The Bushes, The McCains or any other president or presidential candidate to the same level of scrutiny they have put on the Obamas-we would all be running for the hills or hiding under the bed!!

What is worse an alleged terrorist or a confirmed war-monger whose family made on America going to war.

And if we are going to judge presidential candidate based on their family history–the how could Amercans see fit to elect the son and grandson of Irish mobsters and bootlegers president of the United States? Buy the way, JFK and RFK did not have a plethora of political experience either-but in 1960 America trusted them with their future and in 2008 still mourn their demise. These guys were considered heroes-but I wonder if in 2008 if they would pass the background check.

  100. Marge on June 20th, 2008 at 3:13 am

Rose, Kathy and look out, you guys are as ignorant as they come. The information you’re beating up Mrs. Obama with is all speculation. I don’t understand, McCain’s wife stole drugs from a non-for-profit organization she’d volunteered at, and she was a drug user and addict, but you choose to pick on an honorable woman (M. Obama). McCain’s wife is an Adulteress whom slept around with McCain lying behind while he was married. Now, all the things I said about McCain is true and could be verified, but you can’t verify any of the information about M. Obama. Shame on you!!!!! Liars!!!!!

  101. John on June 24th, 2008 at 1:48 pm

The “ebonics” tape is not a “bunch of lies”. I personally watched her during the acceptance speech for Obama’s win in Illinois. Although I cannot repeat verbatim, it went something like this…. “we be fittin’ to show the people of Illinois how we do things ’round he’aa”

I was appalled then, and am appalled now that this tape has disappeared.

  102. Marge on August 4th, 2008 at 2:57 pm

John, you was appalled that M. Obama used ebonics as a joke?? You are a waste of time.
