Joe Lieberman’s McCain Flip-Flop
Republican’s best friend.
Chosen as the Democratic vice presidential nominee in 2000, Sen. Joe Liberman’s estrangement from the party has been an awkward one for party loyalists. His highly publicized endorsement of Republican John McCain is not only a slap to the Democrats who empowered him, but a backhanded slap as it flies in the face of his earlier statements.

Lieberman: I want a Democrat for president in ‘08
“I want Democrats to be back in the majority in Washington and elect a Democratic president in 2008.”

If Lieberman truly wanted a Democrat to win the presidency he would have supported one of the Democratic candidates or run himself.
His notion that McCain stands on principle simply reeks of hypocrisy. Perhaps it’s their twin sweaters.
Bipartisanship: Good! Going against your word: Puke.
Go away Mr. Lieberman, go far far away.
