Sometimes watching Tucker Carlson’s self-titled pundit program on MSNBC isn’t completely painful.

Tonight’s illuminating moment came when Carlson spoke with Amy Argetsinger and Roxanne Roberts of The Reliable Source about Pope Benedict XVI’s upcoming April visit to Washington D.C.; the first papal visit to the capitol since 1979.

With their gleaming smiles Argetsinger and Roberts revealed that the head of the Catholic church enjoys ‘Fanta’ soda pop and cat sculptures.

Fanta?

Fanta!

Strangely enough, Pope Benedict is not the first dress-wearing man to crave this effervescent elixir.

Hm.

The ‘reliable sources’ also reported that the Pope mobile will be making an appearance. Could there be a surprise makeover of the Pope’s radical ride ?

Who knows what holiday surprise the Pope might bring.

Is it also possible that news of the pontiff’s Fanta fixation and his upcoming visit to the United States comes so close to Christmas for a reason? Could it all be part of a clandestine Christian/Fanta marketing scheme?
