Carville Predicts Hillary Clinton Vs. Jeb Bush in ‘08

Brother of Bush potential 2008 GOP nominee

Is he a contender?

Political analyst and former Bill Clinton adviser James Carville suggested to Wolf Blitzer at CNN’s America Votes breakfast that President George W. Bush’s brother, Florida Governor Jeb Bush, will be the 2008 Republican candidate for president.

“There is a successful Republican Governor of a large swing state, who speaks Spanish, who’s in tight with the social conservatives, who the party would rally around. There’s no one in this field that can rally the Republican Party. He’s the only person in America that can do it.

And all he says, ‘If Bill Clinton’s wife can run for president then George W. Bush’s brother can. I’m not my brother, she’s not her husband, let’s get it on.’ “

We love ‘em, but the further time separates James Carville from the successful presidential campaign strategist he used to be, the wackier he gets.
