Fred Thompson: Powerful to Pathetic in Three Easy Steps

From Moore to mockery

In a short time Republican presidential candidate former Senator Fred Thompson has gone from impressive to ridiculous. How did this descent from laudable to laughable occur so quickly? In three easy steps.

Step 1: Impress the pundits

Step 2: Grovel for recognition

Step 3: Caricature created

And what of step 4? Play on pathetic performances to lower debate expectations.  So long Thompson candidacy.  D.O.A. and R.I.P.

I haven’t had this much entertainment watching a campaign in years. I have literally been laughing hysterically at Fred Thompson’s boring, listless, lazy performance. I’m sure he’s a decent man, but he doesn’t have a chance of winning the nomination.

Yeah, I almost *almost* feel bad for the guy. Wait for it…wait for it…yeah, I don’t feel bad for him at all. Tough luck there Thompson, and RIP.
