Only through religion could murder and honor unite.
Far off into the future people will celebrate the day when they finally become human; when they (not us, for we will be long dead) finally cast off the dusty remnants of cultism and evolve beyond the need or want of religion. Until then, HUMAN is a euphemistic fantasy.
Take, for example, the latest demonstration of high belief: In Iraq, four members of a Kurdish girl’s family stoned her to death for being seen with a Muslim man ( CNN article).
How has religion made us a better people? (serious question, respond if you can provide some insight)
Only religion could combine one of humanity’s greatest virtues, Honor, with our most evil of actions, Murder.
Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens, eat your heart out. Because if you don’t, someone of faith will surely stone you to death sooner or later anyways.
